Jean-Nicolas Lambert (1708-1759). At his death, in 1759, his widow, Anne- Charlotte Caron, continued working and herself became a guitar maker, helped by one of her nephews who used to be apprenticed to Jean- Michel Lecuyer and had worked with him. She managed the workshop, where there were four work benches, either workplaces for four collaborators, or for an ordered succession of the various phases in the work. Anne-Charlotte Caron continued making instruments with the same models, always under the same name, regularly paying the taxes due, until 1790 when she closed the business.
